EZ Rooting Galaxy S3 SGH-I747
Getting Root Access
1.Download the rooting package (CWM_SuperUser_v3.0.7, 593 kB) and save it to your PC.
2.Copy the CWM_SuperUser_v3.0.7.zip file to your phone’s internal SD card.
3.Switch off your phone.
4.Boot into ClockworkMod Recovery. You can do this by pressing and holding down the Volume Up, Home, and Power buttons together until your phone’s screen turns on. Wait for a couple seconds for ClockworkMod Recovery to launch. Use the Volume buttons to navigate and the Home button to confirm an option.
5.Select Install ZIP From SD Card.
6.Select Choose ZIP From SD Card, then browse for the CWM_SuperUser_3.0.7.zip file and select it. Confirm the installation by selecting Yes on the screen that follows.
7.After the installation is complete, head back to the main recovery menu.
8.Select Reboot System Now to reboot your phone.
Installing BusyBox
1.Once your phone boots up, you need to install the BusyBox binaries. Download the BusyBox app free from the Google Play Store and install it on your phone.
2.Run the BusyBox application on your phone.
3.When asked for root access, tap the Allow button.
4.Select the red “X” to close the dialog window that will pop out.
5.BusyBox will then scan your phone.
6.Select Install to begin installing BusyBox and make the necessary file changes on your phone. After the installation is finish, exit the BusyBox application.
Congratulations! You have successfully rooted your AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-I747. Enjoy the many benefits of having a rooted device.
