PIPO M9 Max Kit Kat 4.4 stable

I have not ran it. I will try later and post on it. Yes the cap is there due to tweaks for the GPU. Most get capped because of a over heat issue that causes loss of frame rate at higher rates. The GPU is capable to running as high as 71.6 fps. However rates over 60 seem to cause degradation of quality. basically as I have mentioned before, not all tablets are created equal. My tablet seems to run up to 68.2 fps then the drop out comes. So instead of using a app to cap the frame rate most will just cap it in the kernel it's self. Rockchip recommends a 53 to 57 lock for rk3166 and rk3133's. The Rk3066 was never locked down however it would never reach high rates like the rk3166. So most get that 55.

Alright I ran Nenamark2. unclocked is 55, oc I get 66.4. I am sure with some adjustments I could push it harder. However if I took some tweaks off of my tab it would drop. My oc is not the same I release tho. It is still in testing so the ockernel I have up would naturally get a lower score. I will try later on the ockernel I got posted up

Thanks for the test and explanation. So it is really capped at the kernel. Strangely only the one kernel version I mentioned above I know is uncapped, all other kernel before and after that is capped at 55. IIRC, that kernel will even get 60+ FPS in the default clock. Your OC result is above the 55 cap, so I assume you've managed to uncap it in the kernel? Because in my experience, no amount of overclocking can increase it beyond 55, so it's not the GPU speed that is lacking but the cap is preventing the higher frame rate

yes changed the values. It is not that hard to change the values, however changing one thing effects another you know. So most will not go thru the point to change one thing or another. That is why only some people make or edit kernels

Yep, editing kernel is not for me either. I just use the perl script made by a dev over at freaktab forum to make an OC kernel. It would be great if you have a similar script to edit this kernel, so more users can experiment by themselves and share results, with their own risks of course. In any case, looking forward to your next release of the Kitkat package

If you're referring to step 4 in instructions.txt, I thinks it's supposed to mean ROM_Flash_Tool_137.exe, which is in the RKDevelopTool_v1.37 folder

And you know how it gets flash mode?

First turn the tablet off. Connect the cable to PC. Start ROM_Flash_Tool_137.exe. Then while holding the back button, press the power button at the same time. After 1-2 second you should see the "Found..." message in ROM Flash Tool

Hello guys, my english isn't good, but I'll try to put my doubts.

In the step 10 (install Oma RK31 KK v2.1 Format NAND.zip from ext_sdcard), my tablet can't mount the ext_sdcard.

What is the problem and what can I do?

also how can i back to stock kernel? cant get into boot mode.

btw. i have problem with this rom and standard kernel. When i disable screen - device reboot's. any ideas? i wanted to try with oc kernel, but dont know how to reflash it

all you need to do is use the flash tool and only flash the kernel. That way it only updates the kernel. The default screen is the one before option. With in flash tool you can flash any kernel you wish too.

What you mean disable screen? are you try to use it just on hdmi not your tablet screen (if so there is no setting setup for that in the rom as of yet)?

hello, I never flash rom's in this tablet with CWM. When I try to flash the kitkat does not work because in the part of the CWM can not mount the sdcard-ext. So I can not complete the tuturial.
