Here it is, a ROM based on the 6/30/13 firmware release using SDK 2.0
It will on 3g or non 3G version 2 and version 3

I test it in my PIPO M9 RK31, it works very well. It resolves my wifi problem that disconnect every 5 minutes.

Can you tell me please how I can make this rom to use multi-user.

is there any possibility to get this rom, so that i could use "rkbatchtool" to put it in my pipo m9?

i tryed the riley version that is linked but i cant get the "rkandroidtool" to work correctly.

Do you need the 3G or none 3G? Right now for 3G there is just this. If you need it for the non 3G you can use this one Download here There has been some lag in developing due to the 4.3. Not sure if they are going to start on 4.3 or keep up with the 4.2.2 SDK 2.0

i am looking the same 6/30/13 rom with sdk 2.0, i hope it would fix my wifi problems. wifi keeps dropping 5 to 15mins and when it drops the "settings" on the tablet goes unresponsive, can't turn off wifi or anything, have to wait few minutes to get it back.

i have the non 3G version if the m9

have you tried the 060813 version. It fixed the wifi for me also it has the multi user feature add in. This version I tested seems to be the same as the 06/08/13 version other then the extra battery drain with the SDK 2.0. As of right now. You can always flash the original https://vitha.forumotion.com/t140-m93188-42-pipo-sdk20 then do your own rooting. No one has submitted what your asking yet. When it comes I will post it.

the link in that thread for the original firmware isn't working, gives error when i click it and is it in english or chinese?

I have tryed every rom available except those sdk2.0 roms, always the wifi keeps disconnecting.

I see the link is down I will look at getting it back up or finding another link[update link is now working again]. It is in Chinese of course, most of the new roms come out in Chinese first then English.

Thanks for the ROM. There was one problem with the internal SD card not auto reformatting, which was not covered by the readme.txt, I am copying this message from Rileypm:

One thing I didn't mention in the readme file is that Android 4.2.2 changed the way it notifies you that the internal SD isn't formatted...it doesn't.

So what you will need to do is go into settings under storage and mount the internal SD. Then you will see a notification up at the top that says "damaged storage". Touch that notification and format your internal SD.

Remeber this is if you do the clockwork recovery, if you do the stock recovery it doesn't happen.

if you are using this rom then it is pre-rooted. if you want to root a non rooted rom use this https://vitha.forumotion.com/t106-rooting-pipo-m9-rk3188 . now if your question is what you can do with rooting, then you can use apps like titanium backup. then you can move saved data and apps from rom to rom or from one android device then to another. there are many more things to have it rooted for.

yes you can flash to 3g or non 3g versions 2 or version 3. I have flashed it to my non 3g version 2 and I think it is the best rom out there for the PIPO M9 Max.

This rom is already rooted. The PIPO Manufacture does not pre root there roms, so you have to wait for the roms to be custom rooted or root your self. On my post I normally only post up rooted rom. Like this one. What problem have you run in to?

Before I flash this rooted rom - I had the original firmware: PiPO M9 software_NO 3G_new pcb_english version_20130723
and I rooted it by myself and the only problem I had is after installing apps and moving them to sd (nand flash sd card), The sd card need to reloaded afer every turn-on because it won't load ok. And after reloading the sd card then i could use the apps.

With this rom I flash it only 2 days ago and I didn't saw that problem - yet.

sorry to hear that. what you not like about it? I my self give it all props for what I use it for. I love the flash player on default browser and the great support for html 5.
